Disaster

Yesterday I was working on a custom piece for a customer. As I was soldering my second to last jump-ring my torch malfunctioned and instead of the steady low flame, it turned into a blazing torch!! The result....two beyond-melted...more like completely dissolved chain links. So instead of polishing up my piece, I headed to the store in search of a new torch. YIKES!!

Welcome

New WELCOME sign added to the store. Perfect for the front porch or in the garden. I used one similar to this at the door to a ladies brunch. I wasn't intending to sell them but I got so many compliments I just couldn't resist!

A Favorite

One of the more enjoyable things in creating handmade items is that I can occasionally make a new piece from ideas given to me by a customer. I love it when customers trust me enough (or know me enough) to give me free reign in creating a piece for them. For example a description like...a ring + sand dollar + our names = make it look cool.

Thanks to all you moms out there for all that you do. The time, effort, and work you put into changing the lives of your children is invaluable. You give your love in the smallest of ways; folding laundry, washing dishes, combing hair, correcting homework, sweeping the floor, etc. We hope you have a wonderful RELAXING weekend!
